Description
Bunghole has won the Best of Show in the Low and Slow category in both 2016 and 2015 at the Bacon and Beer Festival in Seattle!
We sink to a whole new naming low with this one. That is, if your mind’s in the gutter and you don’t know the old-school beer kegs.
For those who aren’t old enough to remember, a bunghole is the hole in the side of wooden kegs used for filling them back in the old days. Pictured on the tap handle and bottle labels is a bung reamer, bung, and a wooden barrel with the proverbial bunghole. The pejorative term came later. We figured that since our Baphomet label was approved last year that we’d continue to push the boundaries of bad taste with this great tasting beer! Who knows how low we can sink?
Bunghole is a Double Brown Ale with plenty of attitude, just like our friend and regular customer “Bubba”. He’s not bashful or quiet and goes for the gusto whenever he can. This full bodied hugely malty Double Brown is just the kind of ale for the Bubba in you!
